The funds raised from the 2010 event are to be distributed as follows:

1/3 will go the Refuge Friends Inc.  Blue Goose Transportation Fund .

Refuge Friends is the volunteer organization affiliated with the Minnesota Valley National Wildlife Refuge, with visitor centers in Bloomington and Carver MN. The wildlife refuge borders the

Minnesota River from Bloomington, MN to the Jordan/Belle Plaine area. The Blue Goose fund pays for buses to transport school children to the wildlife refuge for a time to acquaint with nature.

1/3 will go to the Fraser School  Family Focused Program .

The Family Focused Program will use these funds to develop a  Preschool Outdoor Nature Lab and provide a� weekend  Family Camping Experience for the families the program serves..

1/3 will go to The Optimist Club of Richfield Youth Foundation.

The foundation intends to award scholarships to high school seniors from the high schools in Richfield, MN who intend to enroll in a college course of study that is focused on nature and/or environment.� It is anticipated that we will be able to provide first year scholarships to several

students each year.
